iPhone apps from USA rules the Apple Store

Share

iPhone apps released from USA is creating a buzz  in  the iTunes Store. This is a fact which is noticed  for  many reasons. A lionshare of the iTunes store is   dominated by US Made apps. Some applications    are in the best app category not because of it’s    stunning features or steak design, They dominate  only because They are from USA.

Some reasons behind it are the base store for review in the apple store is USA. So Review from USA is considered to be the General rating of the app.

"apple store logo"People who launch their iphone apps in US Store would be basically from USA and they will have considerable number of friends to post inetial 5 star review for the app even if it is not that good as expected by the customers world wide. Apps from Non US Store may not have friends in USA to review the app. So they loose their inetial heck to succed in the apple store.

There are some apps which are from USA which proved to be very successful. A leading entertainment app, I prefer not to disclose the name here. They Have good publicity in USA. They are having a good support from US based customers. A Network of friends to support the ratings.

Many apps create controversies to gain attention of Visual and Print Media. So They become noticed. Pullmyfinger gained public attention this way only because they are from USA and Media exposed this controversy and They used this scenario to promote their app quiet successfully.

This is the tactics behind a successful app when they are from USA. This cannot be enjoyed by applications from India,Srilanka or Pakistan . There is less penetration of iPhone in these countries and so the app downloads are too low to put an influence by Home media in these countries. Bad luck for them. But US Continued to be the greatest consumer of all these apps. 20- 50% of market pie of any app is eaten by US Customers which leads the iTunes Store downloads.

Whether it is fair or not. This is a fact which remains unnoticed so far. So Non US apps needs to think about new strategies to promote apps in the US.
